Job position: Electrical & Instrument Project Engineer

Localisation: Gdańsk or Home Office after on-boarding

Key responsibilities:

• To ensure that the applicable legislation and standards are applied across all aspects of E/I/T delivery to the Project. These include: NORSOK, Company procedures, checklists and processes, Client codes and standards, HS&E Regulations, IEC Directives and Atex.


• To identify and implement safe, cost effective, fit for purpose, field proven designs.


• To maximise opportunities within design, to improve rig operability and maintainability.


• To provide engineering solutions that demonstrate added value to both Archer Operations and Client.


• To provide technical interface with all other discipline engineers and Subcontractor and Specialist Engineering Vendors.


• To ientify deviations to standards where necessary, ensuring acceptance of Client Technical Authorities.


• Identify deviations from the agreed Scope of Work (SOW), which is the basis for Variation Order Request (VOR) and flag this to the responsible lead in the project.


• Develop solution proposals and estimate.


• To report progress against project plans to his responsible lead (POM, PM, PE or Discipline Lead EIT Engineer), noting any areas of concern and identifying corrective actions.


• To meet the requirements of the agreed schedule identified within the project plan for the Electrical / Instrumentation deliverables as assigned by the PM / PE / Discipline Lead EIT Engineer.


• To ensure that the cross-discipline Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, Maintenance and Operational requirements are accounted for within the design.


• Responsible for checking and/ or approval of discipline design deliverables, calculations, specifications, drawings, packages and technical procedures.


• Preparation, verification and check of engineering documentation and Vendor documentation.


• Preparation of work descriptions and work package documentation required for offshore installation, mechanical completion and commissioning activities.


• Prepare requisitions for bill of materials required for offshore installation


• On request participate in Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) on Vendor site.


• To conduct offshore surveys and prepare offshore survey reports, as required.


• To respect colleagues, clients and subcontractors at all levels, dealing with any dispute or conflict in a professional and personable manner.


• Reporting workload to the Discipline Lead EIT Engineer to ensure maximal utilisation.▪ Any other reasonable duties as specified by Line Manager.


• Assisted to good communication and cooperation with platform drilling where relevant.


• Ensure that the Client system owner (onshore/offshore) are informed about offshore installation before installation starts

  Competencies and Profile:
  


• M.Sc or B.Sc in E&I&T discipline.


• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in relevant field (experience in Oil&Gas industry will be advantage)


• Valid health certificate


• Effective communication skills at all organizational levels


• Fluent Polish and English written and oral skills


• Structured, analytical and proactive work attitude


• High integrity to business compliance


• Be capable of structured and independent working


• Able to take initiative
